House Construction Work

This House is a newly constructed, single-story facility spanning 43,958 square feet, designed to meet the needs of Omaha’s downtown homeless community. This year-round shelter accommodates up to 458 individuals, including 356 men and 102 women.

The facility features designated dormitories for men and women, bathrooms with shower facilities, private consultation rooms, a commercial-grade kitchen, a spacious dining area, a clothing distribution room, intake waiting rooms, and a loading dock for receiving donated supplies.

Organized into functional zones, the building is constructed with durable, readily available materials such as a brick exterior, burnished block interior walls, and polished concrete flooring, ensuring longevity and practicality.
